It’s been raining in Dover, Delaware, where Loki lives with Mommy and Daddy. Loki loves warm sunny outdoors, and these rainy days don’t fit his style. So, Loki has thoughts about rain and what Mommy does with him on rainy days! 🌧 💚
Our sweet home has a few windows and doors. There is a huge glass sliding door to the deck, and there are two windows. Mommy opens up the shades every morning, just for me! While I wait for Mommy to put down fresh water and breakfast, I get to look out through the sliding door to the deck. If it’s a rainy day… I can see the water on the deck! 😞 Huff… Huff… Then I go to the window behind the dining table to look…

Oh man… It’s RAINING! I do not like rain! I even avoid water puddles!
I don’t remember that much, but I think I don’t like rain because when I got lost (before I moved to Delaware from North Carolina), I was living outside for a while and hurt, too. Rain makes me feel really cold. I get soaked, and it’s a mess!!! Guess what???? Mommy doesn’t like rain either! Just like me.
So, you see… this week was rough. But Mommy tells me that we have to be brave and go out.
She told me this on the first rainy day we had after I met Mommy and Daddy! AND… She got me this magical cape called a raincoat. I feel awesome when Mommy puts it on me. She says that I look so brave and handsome or handsomer!!
Here is the thing… I still don’t like to go out in the rain when Daddy tries to take me out. Even if he tries to put on this cape! Daddy often tells Mommy that I didn’t want to go out all day when she gets home from work.
I’d go anywhere and everywhere with Mommy! (If she can take me…) And she’s very similar to me… She doesn’t like rain, and she is still going outside, being all brave.
So! I go out with Mommy and be brave! Look at me!!!
Do you see? If I weren’t out with Mommy or didn’t have the magical cape… I would have been sooo scared, just like when I got lost and hurt.
